The brief: give Mahou San Miguel a place in the room
Mahou San Miguel needed more than a backdrop for its event. Banners and sampling tables get walked past. A game people stop for does not.
SkangoGames built Distri Bros as an immersive video game for that event, and shipped it to run on an arcade machine. Guests did not open an app or scan a code first. They stepped up to a cabinet, played, and left with Mahou San Miguel attached to a moment they had just had.
1. Why a cabinet, not a phone
Live events are noisy. Phones compete with the bar, the crowd, and the next booth. An arcade machine does the opposite: it is a destination. People see someone playing, they queue, and the brand owns that few minutes of attention.
What the format gave the event
- A physical hook: The cabinet was part of the floor, not a link in a follow-up email.
- Shared play: Spectators watch, comment, and take a turn. One session becomes a small crowd.
- Brand in the hands: Mahou San Miguel was inside the game, not only on a stand next to it.
2. What we built
Distri Bros was made for that room: a custom game for Mahou San Miguel, and stable enough to run through an event day on dedicated hardware. The job was not a consumer launch. It was a live activation that had to start when the doors opened and keep working while people played.
3. What it shows
Event marketing usually buys impressions. A playable cabinet buys time. Guests choose to stay, and the brand is the thing they are doing, not a logo beside the thing they are doing.
Distri Bros is that idea in one project: fun first, Mahou San Miguel inside the session, and hardware that fits a real venue instead of a home screen.
Conclusion
For a brand that needed people to stop, play, and remember, an arcade game did the work a stand could not. Distri Bros put Mahou San Miguel into the middle of its own event.
